The museum is located a few minutes from the centre of Port Adelaide and contains historical collections of Port Adelaide, Semaphore, LeFevre Peninsula and environs, including the maritime collection of Keith LeLeu.
The Port Adelaide Historical Society Museum presents the history of Port Adelaide using modern audio visual presentations of Port Adelaide’s past. It houses a wide collection of artefacts, published materials, books, photographs and models; arranged to interest all who love PORT ADELAIDE and ships

Getting to the Port Adelaide Historical Society Museum during the cruise ship season in Port Adelaide.
The Museum is located at 95 Fletcher road Peterhead, and cruise ship passengers can travel to the Museum via-::
- Train, board the train at the Outer Harbor Station (3 minutes from the ship) get off at the Peterhead Station & the museum is a 10 minute walk (See Map).
- 8 Minutes from Port Adelaide on Bus 150.
- Taxi, a short 10 minute drive along the coast.
